General Terms and Conditions
SCOPE OF APPLICATION
The “General Terms and Conditions” apply to attending events organized by ecoplus International GmbH. Deviating agreements must be in writing. By registering for an event, the participant or interested party declares that they agree to these general terms and conditions and are bound by them. By participating in the event, the participant agrees to comply with the organiser’s current event and house rules.
Registrations will be considered in the order in which they arrive. The organiser only accepts registrations for events in writing only (also by fax, e-mail, web forms, etc.); only registrations for free events are also accepted in person (also by telephone). Every registration is binding. If a registration cannot be accepted – for example because an event is fully booked – the interested party will be informed immediately. Anyone who registers a third person for an event expressly declares that they are authorised to carry out this registration and to submit a corresponding declaration of consent under data protection law.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
If attending an event is subject to certain conditions of admission (e.g. registration obligation), these are listed separately and must be fulfilled by the participant.
The participant agrees to the participation fee specified by the organiser in the written or electronic information. Insofar as it is a paid event and is not otherwise stated, all prices are gross and include statutory sales tax.
RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
If an event is booked from a distance, in particular by telephone, fax, email or electronic media, the participant as a consumer within the meaning of the KSchG has a statutory right of withdrawal within 14 calendar days within the meaning of the Distance and Outbound Selling Act (FAGG) calculated from the conclusion of the contract. This does not apply to events that start within these 14 calendar days from the conclusion of the contract. The withdrawal deadline is deemed to have been met if the declaration of withdrawal is sent within the deadline. The participant can therefore withdraw from the contract declaration within 14 calendar days from the conclusion of the contract without giving reasons by sending a written declaration of withdrawal (e.g. letter, fax, e-mail). For this, it is sufficient if the declaration of withdrawal is sent within this period (the date on the mailing slip is decisive). Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are included. The written declaration of withdrawal must be sent to the organiser. In addition to the above provisions, the registered participant has the opportunity to personally declare their withdrawal to the organiser within the withdrawal period, subject to the conditions set out above. If the contract has been revoked in this way, the organiser will reimburse any payments already received from the participant immediately and at the latest within fourteen days from the date on which the notification of the participant’s revocation to the organiser has been received.
Cancellations are only accepted in writing. The receipt by the organiser is decisive for the timeliness of the declaration of cancellation. If a participant is prevented from attending the event, cancellation can be made free of charge up to 14 calendar days before the start of the event.
For cancellations received less than 14 calendar days before the start of the event, a cancellation fee of 50% of the participation fee will be charged. For cancellations received on the day of the event, the full participation fee will be charged. It is possible to nominate a substitute to take part in the event. The terms and conditions also apply to them.
SCHEDULE CHANGES & CANCELLATION
The events are planned long-term, so there may be changes in the schedule, for example with speakers/dates/the event location, etc., which we reserve the right to do. If an event has to be cancelled for organisational reasons (e.g. illness of a lecturer or other unforeseen events), there is no entitlement to the event and any participation fees that have already been paid will be reimbursed without any deductions. Compensation for additional expenses of any kind (e.g. travel expenses, loss of earnings, travel and/or accommodation expenses, etc.) is excluded.
EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY
The organiser assumes no liability for personal belongings of the participants. The organiser is only liable for damage caused by intent and gross negligence, with the exception of damage to people. The injured party has to prove the existence of slight or gross negligence, provided it is not a consumer transaction. Compensation for (defect) consequential damage and pure pecuniary damage is excluded for entrepreneurs. No liability can be assumed for the correctness of the information in the event documents or for knowledge acquired during the event.
To avoid copyright disputes, no video recordings, photographs or audio recordings may be made during an event without the express permission of the organiser.
By registering, the participant declares their irrevocable consent to any image and sound recordings of them as well as to the unrestricted use, distribution and publication of these recordings in a modified or unchanged form for the purpose of reporting on the event or advertising the range of services. These recordings may be used for the processing of the event and can be made available to interested parties at home and abroad via all information media from ecoplus International.
A written revocation of this declaration of consent is possible at any time:

Insofar as personal designations are only given in gender-specific form in the event program, they refer to women and men in the same way. Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions be or become ineffective, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining terms and conditions. The place of jurisdiction is the factually and locally competent court.
